About PYNTravel
Purpose
PYNTravel means Plan Your Next Travel. It is built for people who organize trips with family, friends, and small groups and need a reliable shared record for the decisions that make a trip work.
Most trip planning is scattered across chats, spreadsheets, notes, booking emails, and private memory. PYNTravel brings the durable parts into one place: dates, itinerary days, activities, traveler profiles, transport details, budgets, expenses, and access for the people helping with the plan.
Product scope
PYNTravel focuses on practical trip management rather than travel inspiration. The product is designed around records that groups need to review, adjust, and trust:
- trips with owners, members, dates, and base currency;
- day-by-day itineraries with activities, locations, times, notes, and ordering;
- traveler profiles for adults, children, guests, and account-linked travelers;
- transport legs with assigned travelers and optional estimated costs;
- planned budget rows for expected spending;
- real expenses for transactions that actually happened;
- analytics that compare budget and actual spending by category and currency;
- email invitations with explicit viewer or editor roles.
The same authorization model protects both planning and finance data: access is granted through trip membership, not anonymous public links.
Design principles
PYNTravel keeps controllers thin and product logic reusable so the same trip model can serve different clients without duplicating business rules. User-visible money is stored as integer minor units to avoid floating-point drift. Travelers are separate from user accounts so a child or guest can be part of a trip without becoming an application user.
The service intentionally avoids broad travel-industry scope. It does not try to book flights, sell hotels, replace a travel agent, generate generic destination content, or make legal or visa recommendations.
Data and privacy posture
Trip data is personal and sometimes shared across several people. PYNTravel keeps shared access explicit, records invitations, and avoids anonymous share-link access for trips. Public pages explain privacy, terms, cookies, and account deletion so users can understand the operational boundaries of the service.
